The Townhouse has had a rich history since the beginning. Built by Amos Shinkle, President of the Covington-Cincinnati Bridge Company who helped finance the Roebling Suspension Bridge, in 1854 The Townhouse as served as a home, bed and breakfast, and now Covington's newest event venue. The Meckstroth family purchased this house in July 2023 and will be using the home as their primary residence as well as a venue to connect people to the community, celebrate life events, and learn a little history along the way.

Katie Meckstroth is the owner of the Townhouse and Simply Designed Events, a wedding and event planning company. As a master certified wedding planner, Katie has the knowledge and experience to give you peace of mind for every event. Katie's passion is ensuring that her client's day is stress-free and an event they will never forget. You have invested a lot into your event and Katie wants you to enjoy the people and not worrying about any event logistics.
When Katie is not planning weddings/events you can find her hanging out with her husband Jeff and chasing her two wonderful kids around.
