Asked Questions

Frequently

Do you have a preferred vendors list?

We do allow you to bring in your own food. If you would like to have your event catered we have an extensive list of vendors from every category and budget to ensure you have a wonderful experience at The Townhouse.

Can I bring in my own alcohol?

Yes. We are a BYOB venue. We do require renters to hire appropriately insured bartenders through their caterer, through us, or through a professional bartending service. No freelance or private bartenders are allowed.

Do you have a getting ready area?

Yes. We have 2 actually. There is one in the main house off the main room and there is a carriage house out back with a 1 bedroom/

1 bathroom apartment that is exclusively used for our events.

Are their staff included with my rental?

Yes. Each event will have one staff member on-site to help with all the behind the scenes as well as clean-up of your event.

Are there hotel and parking options near by?

We have multiple options for both hotels and parking.

Hotels: Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter, Embassy Suites by Hilton Cincinnati River Center, and Hotel Covington are all very close.

Parking: We have 6 spot in the back of the house. There are also surface lots and garage parking within walking distance.

Are candles allowed?

Yes, they must be enclosed in glass and located a safe distance from all flammable materials. Sterno or other flame warmers may be used with chafing dishes.

Do I need event insurance?

For weddings, yes. Our event and vendor insurance policies protect The Townhouse and the vendors, but not you. To protect you in the same way on event day, we require that you purchase “Day of Event” liability insurance. The insurance is available from your insurance agent or on the web for a nominal fee, approximately $150. Your certificate is required by 30 days before your event. Exact requirements can be found in the Rental Agreement.
